Happy New Year! I love the quote by Thomas J Watson: “Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.”
Somewhere we have been taught to fear failure, mistakes, errors. But Thomas and many wise others urge us to take action, move forward without such fear. That when, not if, when we do fail, make a mistake or error, that it is actually a blessing if we choose to learn from it. I find that so encouraging. I have made many mistakes, many errors and failed many times. I sure you have too. Good on you!
This year you are going to claim the successes you want, because you have chosen to learn from your past. You are moving forward, more confident and more powerful knowing what to do but more importantly knowing that if it isn’t right the first, second or whatever attempt, you will finally succeed.
